We are Tom (29) and Anna (27), a newly married couple from Australia travelling around Europe as part of a 6 month break from work - I was a maths teacher at a high school whilst Tom was a Chemical Engineer at a gold mine. We had a burning desire to take a good break from work and get some travel in before we started a family so we acted on it and here we are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We only recently were told about Couchsurfing from a friend and were really interested in the concept. We started this European trip in hotels but quickly got bored and lonely so we'd like to branch out, meet some local people from the beautiful areas we are travelling and get properly acquainted with the area.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In January 2015 we both completed a 40 day overlander tour of Africa from South Africa to Kenya. It was an incredible trip packed full of animals, sand dunes, deltas and adrenaline activities.
