I think the way of traveling where you really get in touch with locals and the way they are living is way more intensive and interesting than booking a hotel.
Secondly because I'm still a student, It's nice that I can spend money on other things than expensive accommodation.

Last summer I went to Myanmar there i went swimming with the locals in the most beautiful outdoor "swimming pool" (it was just a sort of lake) ever, with waterfalls, lelies,... It was AMAZING
