We live in the very heart of the capital of Kyiv - it's a perfect spot for exploring the city.

My husband Yura and I are owners of a school of foreign languages and translation agency in Kyiv, Ukraine. (By the way, we have been #1 School of English for almost year among over 150 in Kyiv, according to an independent web-site Enguide, which rates based on student reviews.) Apart from managing the school, we are also actively involved in teaching English (groups, individuals). Our work is versatile and exciting: we meet new people all the time, so it's never boring.
We love travelling. We have been on a 38-day tour of the UK (visited 18 cities), visited the US last summer for a month, and have travlled around Spain a bit, the highlight being the island of Lanzarote (one of the Cnaries).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

My husband and I really like talking to some local people: shop assistants, waiters, tour guides when we are travelling. We like to get their perspective on life. Couchsurfing will amplify our ability to speak to the locals, as we never want to travel as "holllow" tourists.

- Went white-water rafting in the Rockies (US) in June 2014.
- Travelled by a hot-air balloon as our wedding present in summer 2011.
- Walked on top and around the dormant Timanfaya Volcano in Lanzarote (the Canaries) in June 2011 and 2012.
- Travlled by a tourist submarine in Lanzarote (the Canaries) in June 2011.
- Stayed at a real castle in Scotland overnight, autumn 2013.
