Hi, what's up? I'm Anna. I'm studying Pharmacology BSc at the University of Edinburgh (starting in September 2018). Iwas raised in Sofia, Bulgaria and I moved to the U.S. when I was 11. There I lived in Utah for two years and then in a town near Boston for five. I've traveled to a lot of places in the U.S. (I've visited 16 states) but there are still more places on my list. My favorite cities are NYC, Las Vegas, L.A., and Boston. So obviously, I love traveling and meeting new people :D. I love science, art, and music. My hobbies include singing, acting, hiking, and playing the piano (badly).
I love specifically technological art. I've taken many such courses and I have a basic understading of how to work with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Sony Vegas. I've taken a DSLR photography and Dark Room photography class but unfortunately I don't have a good camera so my photography experience is restricted to taking pics with my iphone and posting them to Instagram (you can follow me at anniemarivanova :D)
I am interested in a lot of political and controversial issues but let's not talk about politics quite yet :P

I want to travel and make friends around the world!

Recently, I went to an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Agros, Cyprus and it was honestly life changing. It was an amazing experience and I got to learn so many things about different cultures. I was with people I had never met before and in a town I've never even heard of, yet I felt like I was at home and with family. That's why I want to travel and meet new people through Couchsurfing. I've been on a lot of family vacations but nothing is better than meeting young people with the same interests as you, so I hope to make a lot of new friends.
And, I would also love to go on more exchanges of course :D

My favorite music genres are Broadway showtunes (with a big exclamation point!), Bulgarian pop music, opera, pop, jazz, classical rock... I listen to pretty much anything except metal.
Some of my favorite books are Harry Potter, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby. I have a lot more but I am bad at lists.
My favorite TV shows are Friends, Sherlock, How I Met Your Mother, Ru Paul's Drag Race, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

I've started learning so many languages on Duolingo just for fun, so no matter what language you speak I would love to learn!
