ABOUT ME
The most important thing for me when I travel is really just to get out of the standard tourist experience. The people of the country mean more to me than the attractions. I want the good as well as the bad, the rough and the smooth, as long as I get to experience/hear about the everyday lives of the people I meet. I'm a humanist and hopefully a future anthropologist, so experiencing different cultures up close most definitely mean a lot to me.
PHILOSOPHY
Let me have my opinions and i'll let you have yours. We don't have to agree, just respect each other. The best discussions in life comes between people with different views but respect for one another.
Interests
Obviously traveling, meeting new people and experiencing new and different cultures.
I draw. Like. A lot. When, where and however I can. I design tattoos for people and hope to one day be able to actually MAKE them. But for now, it's just me and my sketchpad. (It's a lonely but nice life)
I play the bass as well, have been for 4 years. My bass is a custom, since I'm only 5 feet tall and wasn't able to carry around a normal one. Like, literary imagine me falling over by caring it one my back - and yes, that has happened. Multiple times.

Music, Movies, and Books
"1984" by George Orwell will always have a special place in my heart, as I wrote a paper on it. I'm also a huge sucker for Michel Foucault and his works discussing the human mind in cultural settings.
Other books I've enjoyed are:
- The house of Spirits
- The Day the Sun Turned Black
- Angels of the Universe
- Lolita
- Flowers for Algernon
Oh dear God I could go on...
When it comes to movies I will forever be stuck in my childhood, my favorite movie being Spirited Away. It always has been, always will be.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling in the Wadi Rum dessert in Jordan, only in the company of 5 beduin travelers and their 74 camels.
