Since I spent half a year in Colombia in 10th grade I fell in love not only with Colombia but also with travelling in general.
At the moment I cannot travel a lot because I don't get much time off work, but I still try it whenever I can.

Most importantly I love to really get to know the places I'm staying at by meeting people, learning the languages and of course learning about their culture.
I would choose spending an evening of chatting/ discussing over every sightseeing tour. And of course I love to cook and eat together!
Hosting is also a great opportunity to meet new people and even get to discover the own city from a different view! As I am living in Regensburg for only 1 year now I find there are still new places to discover.

When I was 16, I had the opportunity to stay at a friend's friend's family in Medellin, Colombia. They treated me like their daughter, and showed me different places and realities of their country.
