I live in Russia and I'm a student (one more year to get a Bachelor Degree). I love the world around me and my main goal is self-development - in all possible aspects. I really into my studying, like getting to know new things; I wanna see and do as much as I can in my life, because experience and memories is almost the only thing that really matters.

Before university I used to travel a lot, mostly with my parents, and now I start doing it myself (and with friends). My dream is to visit as many countries as possible, because our world is beautiful and so different. It also really broadens the mind and helps to develop yourself as a person.

I have a much older brother and a twin-sister, we get along really well and enjoy spending time together :) My sister is currently studying in Spain, already for half a year, and the last time I saw her was in February, when we visited my brother who lives in Germany with his family.

I am studying at the department of Applied, experimental and mathematical linguistics. That's an inter-disciplinary field that deals mostly with computers and languages - two things I'm really into.

I also really enjoy sports, especially extreme sports like snowboarding. And two things I haven't tried yet but really want to are surfing and bungee jumping. For the first one I should visit a country where it's possible, and the second one I am planning to achieve this summer :)

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a perfect opportunity to explore the world, meet new people (and make friends), and to see how people live all around the planet.
Now I can't host people myself, because I'm living in a university dormitory, but I hope to do so when I have my own place.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

MUSIC.
Some time ago I've listened mostly to rock, like Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, Alice Cooper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Guns N' Roses, The Doors etc. But now I also like many different songs from really different groups, like RHCP, Arctic Monkeys, Marilyn Manson, Cigarettes After Sex, The Cranberries, The White Stripes (and Jack White), Nick Cave, My Own Private Alaska, Placebo, as well as a few Russian performers and many distinct songs from many distict people.

MOVIES.
I love going to cinema, because of the atmosphere and because it's a great way to spend free time, but I wouldn't say that it's easy to find a good movie in the cinema nowadays. I have a few favourite films, like The Best Offer, Fight Clib, Lobster, The Dreamers, La Granda Belezza, Inglorious Basterds, In Bruges, Filth, Mr Nobody, Limitless, Only Lovers Left Alive, A Beautiful Mind... but I am always interested in something new. I also like a few series, like Black Mirror, Shameless, Doctor Who, House M.D., Lie To Me, The Young Pope.

BOOKS.
I have read a lot before the university, but now I have much less time. Well, I do read books, but mostly for studying :) I know quite a lot about Russian literature and poetry, and some pieces I really like, especially novels by Dostoevsky and lyrics by Brodsky. I also like really different authors like Herman Hesse, Thomas Mann, Chuck Palahniuk, Richars Bach, Jack Kerouac...

I know what computer linguistics is! (that's what I study and usually people have no idea what it is about, so I'm kinda used to answer this question).
I like everything that's connected with modern technologies, computers, IT. I like speaking about Artificial Intelligence, the way people communicate with it and it communicates with people, as well as some issues that can arise on the ground of its fast development...

What's more, as I've been in lots of countries I can probably share my impressions. However, I wouldn't say I'm an experienced traveller (but I'll do my best).

Also I like Russian literature and can tell you something about it :)
