I run an NGO called The Changemaker Project which empowers youth to create positive change in the world. I started it because I am passionate about social and environmental justice and believe in the power of education for social change. So far we have reached youth in 35+ countries and we would like to reach even more (maybe through Couchsurfing! 😊) Check it out: www.thechangemakerproject.org.

I am also pursuing a PhD in comparative international education at UCLA, and my research is about how schools around the world cultivate empathy. If you know any teachers I could talk to, please send them my way!

In 2017, I traveled for four months exclusively Couchsurfing and it was the best time of my life. I love the community here and have met some of the most generous and kind people in the world who have offered their homes to me. I enjoy hosting as well and learning from the people I meet :)

I love meeting new people from different cultures, and I think it's a great way to travel and learn about the world.

Intereses

I like to get outdoors as much as possible. I'm pretty obsessed with sailing, but I also enjoy hiking, skiing, swimming, biking, slacklining, climbing, etc. Indoors I do a lot of sewing and dressmaking, art (printmaking, painting, photography), knitting, etc.

I tend to read a lot of Buddhist psychology books (Thich Nhat Hanh is my favorite :)

I also like books about physics, neuroscience, entrepreneurship, sociology, etc.

I can teach knitting, sewing, vegan cooking, kombucha brewing, yoga, meditation or NVC (nonviolent communication).
