I am a student living in Utrecht, one of the most beautiful gems of the Netherlands. I am a big fan and enthusiastic researcher of literature, philosophy, politics. Ethical consumption is really important for me, I try to live an almost entirely plant-based life and strive not to be alienated from my food.

I always spend at least 20 minutes on writing a really personal introduction to my hosts, this way no one feels that couchsurfing is just the free verion of airbnb. Couchsurfing is a way to reduce the negative impacts of turism. I really like the concept of hosting someone as a way to get out of your comfort zone and learn about different people, different cultures. And as a surfer, I believe you can learn about the place you visit more authentically once you see it through a local's eye.
