I'm a young artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work a full time job in advertising in addition to sustaining my own art practice, which centers around printmaking and illustration.

Travel is something I love, but not something I get to do as often as I'd like. When I do travel, I try to make my trips as meaningful as possible--meeting new people and seeing how they live their lives is a big part of this.

I'm exploring ways to travel more cost-effectively and authentically. I really enjoy staying with friends when I travel (would much rather crash on a couch or floor, enjoy a good visit, and get pro tips on the area than hole up in a hotel), so I thought that Couchsurfing might yield similarly sweet experiences and be a great way to meet interesting people. I have many friends who have had wonderful experiences with Couchsurfing, so it's time to try it myself!

I moved to California from North Carolina with a car full of possessions and no plan (no job, no place to live, etc.) I drove across the country alone, and somehow managed to land on my feet in a great community!
