I'm a student at Aberdeen University in Scotland, originally from Finland. Traveling is a lifestyle for me, want to see and experience as much as possible, and have friends all over the globe! For example I have volunteered in Zambia for two months, done a round trip in South Africa, au pairing in China, did a 200 hour yoga and meditation teacher course in India and spent a year as an exchange student in the States. When it comes to my personality, I would say that I'm annoyingly positive, very social (but still enjoy my time alone), bit of a nerd and a morning person. And a fun fact about me, I always get lost. Always.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I need to come to London in April, to get a student visa for China. Been to London a few times before, but would love to see something else than just the hotels! I've also lived with two different host families before, in the States for a year and in China for half a year, so staying with "strangers" is nothing new to me, I actually enjoy it :)

Interests

In addition to my passion to travel, I also love to study Chinese, play all kinds of instruments (guitar and piano are my favorites) and practice yoga. I also carry a book wherever I go and I'm always ready to learn new ways to cook!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to pretty much all kinds of music, from jazz to Chinese pop, but my favorite genre is deep house. When it comes to movies, I go for thrillers, comedies and drama, but I warn you, I always cry when I'm watching a movie! My true love is books though, right now I'm reading mostly crime fiction but my taste in books changes all the time!

I did a bungee jump in the Victoria Falls, Zambia!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach yoga, some Finnish (or why not Chinese) cooking and playing guitar or piano. Maybe a bit of Swedish as well haha!
