My name is Anna, originally from Northern California. I’m currently on a 4 (ish) month trip through Latin America :)) I studied Spanish for 5 weeks in Guatemala, spent a month in Colombia, and am now in Mexico. I’ve been mixing my trip with more touristy excursions but trying to balance that out with homestays, workaways, and couchsurfing, to connect with local people and practice my (still bad) Spanish. It’s a big priority for me to travel this way. I consider myself friendly, outgoing, laid back, and easy to host!

I like to read and cook, go on walks and hikes, watch movies, go to live music, and hang out with my friends! One of my passions both personal and professional is sustainable farming & organic gardening. And learning Spanish is another new activity for me as well!

Recently I’ve been enjoying funk and soul as well as folk and country. Kind of a combination of everything, I love a lot of different stuff. A movie I watched recently that I liked was The Handmaiden! As for books, I really love Ursula K. LeGuin, Louise Erdrich, and more. In 2023 my favorite book I read was The Sparrow by Maria Doria Russel. Right now I’m reading Woman on the Edge of Time.
