I'm a Dutch student who is very excited about the summer holiday because she will be backpacking for the first time in her life.

I live in Leeuwarden (a city in the north of the Netherlands) with two roommates. One of my roommates is going to travel with me this summer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Me and my friend are going to travel through Europe this summer by train. We are looking for couchsurf adressess in Berlin, Vienna, Bern and Paris so we don't only stay in hostels and get the chance to meet new people who know the city and can add a little fun to our journey. We use CS for the first time and we're very curious.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Booked a trip without knowing the destination (we discovered the destination on the airport just before boarding). We ended up in Manchester and it was great.

Crossed the Sahara on a quad.

Traveled to Lyon by train without a phone charger (and low battery phone), an iPod charger (and a low battery iPod) and knowing to whom I was travelling, but with some things to deliver (legal things (I had to deliver banners for an event)), a dose of fear and a travel time of more than twelve hours because there were some troubles on the track. It was a bit scary but a great experience.

Did an obstacle run with a lentgh of twelve kilometers and a lot of mud. It hurts a lot but I loved it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a Blackjackdealer at Holland Casino (the only real casino according to their slogan) and can teach you a lot of the ins and outs around this game (don't buy a card when you've already got 17. Really.)

I want to learn something about other cultures, other cities and other lives so maybe I can learn something about myself:). Also I want to learn to pack my backpack without all the clothes I wouldn't wear during my holiday.

Just like a lot of people can share on CS: I can share my stories. Also I can share my jokes with you (so I won't be the only one who laughs) and I can share my knowledge about life (don't have to high expectations;))
