About Me
Hello,
I'm 40 and I am the mother of two beautiful daughters (8 and 11).
My husband, the two girls and me are usual and pasionate travellers.
We like outdoors activities and sport as well as having a nice conversation.
We are easy going and happy to share our points of view and anything to do with our home culture.
We like seeing the 'highlights' of the places we visit but we also - and mainly - love to deep dive into the culture, the tradition and the everyday life of their citizens.
We'll be glad to answering any questions you may have about Spain, Europe, our travelling experience ar any other matter - we like a good conversation ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We spent 290 days in a row travelling around Asian SouthWest and Oceania last year and some of our fondest memories are those around couchsurfing experiences - we love the contact with local people, local way of life and local's favorite's places ;)
Interests
- family travel
- worldschooling
Music, Movies, and Books
We love any 'classic' songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, but above all we love music in any shape and form, from flamenco to classical music, from jazz to electronic music, although we usually may prefer listening to singer-based music rather than instrumental.
In no particular order, here's some 'international' names: Black Pink, Rosalia, The Doors, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd.
Me and Raul, my husband, like thrillers, crime-related films but anything with a good photograpy and/or a good script would do - Openheimer, HER, Breaking Bad, Matrix, Blade Runner, Interestelar, The Ravenant.
Anyway, the truth is, nowadays, we are into a lot of family cinema, so we are besoming experts on anything labeled as apropiate for less than 12 years-old kids ;))
Some of my husband and myself favorite international writers are Michel Houellebecq, Paul Auster, Charles Bukowski and Herman Hesse.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most extraordinary thing I've done is packing everything up and travelling with my family for a whole year - which we did from November 2023 to September 2024!
Teach, Learn, Share
We'd like to learn some local traditional dish, if there is any.
We like hiking so it would be great to go hiking with our host when possible.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can offer some conversational lessons if you are into learning Spanish, no doubt.
My husband speaks real good English - he's lived in England for several months - so he can teach English as well.
We can also teach you how to cook some traditional Spanish dishes - tortilla de patatas, paella, gazpacho, allioli, salmorejo.
On top of that, my husband is a musician so if you have a guitar and feel in the mood we can have a good time singing ;)
Of course, we can offer - and will be amazed to do so - a good conversation.
Finally, if you are planning to do any DIY on your house, my husband will be glad and willing to help you with that.
