Overview
About Me
I am a 22 year old female from Wellington New Zealand who is passionate about writing, playing and listening to music, animals, travel, films and the human rights of women and disabled individuals among many other things!
I spent my childhood traveling the world due to my Dad's job. He recorded local musicians in cities throughout Asia and the Middle East. As a result of this my employment as a support worker for disabled individuals and my studies in anthropology, religious studies and criminology I believe I am an open minded individual and am able to get along with a wide range of people from differing backgrounds.
I have never couch surfed before so I have no references as of yet - if you would like I can give you the contact details of a few work referees!
Note: I am a vegetarian but I love to cook and am willing to cook for hosts and their house mates/friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be visiting Seattle and Vancouver alone and want to make some new friends!
Interests
I enjoy writing music. I play guitar and mandolin and I sing in a band.
Going to gigs is also something I like to do.
I watch art house and international films and attend film festivals whenever possible.
As mentioned I also love cooking. As a result of my family's travels have learnt how to cook a range of foods from a around the world. Family favourites include many Indian dishes, Laksa, Koshari, etc.
I go for runs a few days a week and would like to get in to hiking and yoga.
You also may find me strolling through the city (especially close to the waterfront), second hand clothing and record shopping, enjoying long train/bus journeys, and drinking coffee and fresh juice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few years ago I traveled to Borneo where I spent time at Matang a wildlife rehabilitation center that took take care of a range of animals such as Orangutans and Sun Bears. It was amazing to see these animals up close and have a part in helping them but very upsetting considering what many of them had been through.
I will be attending the Twin Peaks Festival later this year.... I imagine this will be added.
