Hello stranger! My name is Anya and I am looking forward to meeting you!
If my name sounds strange to you ... well, I am from Ukraine, everything is different here. I hope one day when the war is over you'll be able to see the beauty of my country.

Nevertheless, while we are all here let me introduce myself.
I am from a small city in the centre of Ukraine Kropyvnytskyi which is known as a place where the first Ukrainian theatrical performances were staged. I lived and studied there for most of my life until the time I was 18 years old and moved to Poland. In Poland, I got my Bachelor's degree at the University of Economics in Wroclaw, visited many countries🗺, met lots of interesting people👫 and received diverse experience across various fields, survived COVID-19 and applied for a Master`s degree in Social Media Management and Digital Commerce in Warsaw.

Besides Poland, I also spent a significant part of my life in the USA. I find this experience very valuable as it taught me to be hardy, persistent, hardworking and open-minded. The first time I travelled to the USA was in 2018 during the cultural exchange programme and I wouldn't say it was love at first sight. Four months of hard work in unknown territory, dealing with all kinds of people, brought me a huge disappointment, this was not the life I saw in American movies and not the love of first sight. So, it required two more visits (2019 & 2022) for me to see things from a different perspective.

If we talking about my nature, I would say I am a friendly, kind and communicative girl🤪, very interested in dancing💃🏼, singing🎙, art🎭, travelling✈️ and meeting different interesting people. Especially enjoy meeting with locals cause in this way I can find not only a lot of hidden gems but also good friends 🤝.
I like to broaden my mind and find different spectacular and incredible places to visit even in such hard times for everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all to see new places and meet new people. Secondly, with locals, there is always a chance to see hidden spots of the city or try interesting food, usually, in unpredictable places. Thirdly, it is always a chance that I meet wonderful people during my stay and last but not least, if I travel on my own I will not feel lost in a big city.

Music, Movies, and Books

OMG Movies are my favourite things ever. I can spend hours watching them, talking or reading about them. They inspire me. So, it's hard even to say what movies are my favourite.

I am fond of music, but frankly, it's hard to say what genre I listen to the most, it depends on my mood. I always listen to music, I do it while walking or running, on my way to work or while cleaning at home. So, if you meet me don't be surprised to see me wearing the headphones ;)

Lately, I got into the Dan Brown series of books and I love them sooooo much. So, if you never heard of this guy but enjoy good thrillers with unpredictable endings, those novels are definitely for you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Came to the USA on my own, spent the whole summer having two jobs in a small vocation town near the ocean and am now on my way to see new places ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can be a big help in cooking, I can teach you how to cook something delicious or prepare some Ukrainian traditional food. I believe I'm pretty good at it 😉.
Also, we can practise some languages and I can show you a couple of dance moves.
