About Me
My name is Ana, I'm a warm host and a happy traveller!
Originally I am from Lithuania but moved to UK 5 years ago, currently living in Newcastle Upon Tyne (UK). Last year I finished Newcastle University and obtained degree in Media, Communication and Cultural Studies.
I am very motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable to new situations. Multilingual capability, positive attitude, warm and chatty personality let me be confident with the ability easily talk to new people. My biggest passion is to travel because there is always something new to experience like different cultures, places and people, it gives a sense of adventure and freedom. I love to travel because it is a time to explore, make new memories and even discover the simple joys of nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I never experienced couch surfing before but my friends who have done it in the past inspired me to create a profile and try it on my own. I believe it's an amazing opportunity to visit new countries, lear new things and ofcourse meet new people who might become your friends afterwards.
Interests
I love spending time with friends and family. When this year I went to Bali for the first time in my life I experience mediation and I absolutely loved it.
I love nature so hiking is one of my favourite thing.
I cannot live without dancing, so if you like hip-hop, pole dance, salsa, bachata, kizomba let me know cuz you are already special in my eyes.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like deep-house and techno music, however my mood is my dictator, so believe me or not I can listen to almost every kind of music. My favourite movie list is way too long but here are the best ones: Never Back Down, Green Mile, Dear John, Magic Mike, 21 Jump Street, Mama Mia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled to Thailand on my own and stayed there for 2 weeks. I learned a rule from solo travellers: you travel on your own but in reality you never on your own cuz you always meet new people with who you can share similar interests and just have fun. For me it was quite challenging to step out of my comfort zone however I can definitely say that was wort it and I wish I could do it again.
So my tip for you don’t be afraid to travel on your own.
