Overview
About Me
I am Anna, from small city close to Warsaw, living in Kraków since 2020.
I carry openness and curiosity with me — towards the world, towards people, towards the unexpected. I travel and connect without stereotypes, without fixed expectations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I enjoy talking to other people. These conversations are often very inspiring and stay with me for a long time. That's why I want to try to get to know the community on this site (I am new here).
Interests
I’m curious about the world, fascinated by European languages and etymology. In 2020 I graduated in Polish Philology (I am not teacher).
I love collecting postcards from cities I’ve visited, I love random (often useless in daily life) facts, and enjoy building broad general knowledge – always happy to learn and share through travel and meeting people.
I love to spend time thinking deeply, trying to put into words what often feels beyond expression, and finding joy in the fleeting beauty of moments.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read non fiction books to understand the world better — almost never I read fiction. Music is one of my favorite ways to connect with cultures: my playlists are often filled with Portuguese, German, or Turkish (to still have contact with language) songs, and when I travel, I always create a playlist inspired by the country I’m visiting. I also love cinema from different countries, especially non-mainstream films — though sometimes I enjoy watching a predictable horror sometimes just for fun.
I like many music genres and many artists - for example I like: Kasia Lins, Lomepal, Nina Maia, Rubel, Slow J, TENDER, Public Memory, Legiao Urbana, Tame Impala, Waglewski Fisz Emade, Chromatics, Ghost Loft, Hermanos Gutierrez, Thomas Azier, Conan Osiris, The xx, Devendra Banhart, Moderat, Branko, Gjon’s Tears, Metronomy, Katarsis, Monolink, Bat for Lashes, Dino D’Santiago, Kings of Leon, Jorja Smith, Banda do Mar, Carpetman, Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Oscar and the wolf, The Knife, Radiohead, Pale, Yoav, Paradis, FKA twigs
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm… I don’t drink alcohol, coffee (I love good tea)
I don’t smoke, so it’s not typical in these times 😅
Solo Trip to Madeira in 2025 for 24-hour stay :)
I attended a Turkish course for a year - w
It was very inspiring and hard because of different kind of grammar than most of European languages
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share with you linguistic facts about many European languages :) I am good listener, I am open to deep conversations
For several years I have been thinking about taking part in some general knowledge game show and winning money, but I always lacked the courage to go on a TV show :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am not looking for a host, but I offer stories, memories, discussions, just my time :)
