ABOUT ME

I am a 32 year old English teacher currently working in a school in South London. I love my job and obviously the school holidays that let me travel (almost!) as much as I want. I have been lucky enough to have spent a few years living in Spain and to have visited lots of Europe, some of South America and a little bit (not yet enough) of Africa.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I signed up for couchsurfing a few years ago and have been able to travel throughout Europe and host a few people too. I think it is a fantastic project and wish my flat in London wasn't so tiny so I could help more!

Interests

I'm a big fan of the arts, go to the cinema often, and try to make it to exhibitions and the theatre whenever my budget can stretch to it. I'm not super active (I won't ever be trying Capoeira again!) but I love spending time outdoors, especially since having moved to the big city. I love walking as a way of discovering London or anywhere a bit greener! I try as get as much as I can out of life, and having spent a few years living abroad I jump at any opportunity to travel and learn a new language. I spend most weekends exploring London or dancing the night away but am just as happy curled up with a big book and a cup of tea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was lucky enough to visit my school's partner school in Uganda, an incredible experience from beginning to end. And not to sound soppy, but being a teacher means that I am constantly amazed by the children I teach and that gives me enough happiness on a daily basis!
