ABOUT ME

I'm 23 and a Virginia native but I'm all about anywhere else. I've got some college behind me and much more in my future. My hearts gone to the dogs and one day I hope to be working with them in my career. I can't survive without socialization or happiness in my life. I treat every day as a gift and don't intend on wasting any of it. Most of my support comes from my friends, not my family. I'm entirely self supportive so I'm usually broke but that doesn't mean I'm boring in the least ;)

PHILOSOPHY

" Life is cement, freshly poured for a sidewalk. You stand proudly admiring your perfect job when a dog goes running down the entire length of the path. Her footprints now mar the smooth surface as a frown paints your face. Being human all you wanted was perfection so you overlooked the improvements she had made. As the rain begins to fall water collects in her now hardened footsteps; Water that will save your life in the morning when the world ends."

I don't think like you do with simple answers. I always try to make my own up. My personal philosophy has everything to do with my imperfections. Looking back on my life they have saved me ten times more than my strengths. I believe life starts blank but builds from each action. Weak intentions will leave weak foundations just as true words will strengthen them. At the end of the day when the lights go out for good you will be judged for your choices. Why do I believe this crazy stuff? Well, I just can't bring myself to believe this dance would all be for nothing...

Craigslist Roomsurfing Experience: I've lived with four roommates i've met online and each experience was completely different. The ages of my roomies ranged from 20 to 49 and the personalites were all over the board. We all got along smashingly though!

Music - Rock, Classic Rock, Alternative, Metal, Screamo, Indie, Dubstep, Techno, Reggae, Country, Bluegrass, Jazz. NO RAP (I love good lyrics and as a writer this genre is seriously lacking in substance and deep lyrics)

Books - anything adventurous, thrilling, romantic, or well written. I love the paranormal, zombies, space, vampires, werewolves, Native American stories, Greek Mythology, etc.

Movies - I will watch anything as long as I'm hooked in the first 5 minutes.

Seeing my name in print in a national poetry magazine is a feeling I will never forget. That's right i'm a published poet, only once so far but several more times to come!
