ABOUT ME

I come from a mountain town, and am constantly struggling between my love of cities and small towns. I've grown up with an amazing family, friends, and community; a home I can truly call sweet.

For me, being an open-minded, positive person is important; travel and learning about how other people live is the best education out there!

I love music, dancing, taking excessive pictures (it's hereditary), traveling, cousins, driving odd vehicles, road maps, hiking, cooking, running, food and nutrition, airports, hammocks, a good book, mojitos, even numbers, wildflowers, and really dark chocolate!

I'm a vegetarian (with a weakness for soft shell crab), and a perfectionist/over-achiever to a fault!

Hand me a book, and I'm happy for a while. Historical fiction, fiction that takes place abroad, mathematical books, intriguing non-fiction, magazines, Harry Potter.... it's all good!

I love love love music; almost any genre (less heavy metal, rap and modern country) has a place in my life. My current favourites are The Band, Mumford and Sons, The Black Keys, and Florence and the Machine.

I thought I watched a lot of movies, but I always seem to be the person who "hasn't seen it", so I'm ready to be enlightened with films I should see!

One of my goals in life is to learn to play as many musical instruments as I can. I'd love to share/teach my knowledge of music, and learn from anyone who is willing to put up with my enthusiasm and excessive questions. :) I also know a lot about food, and would absolutely love to learn to cook better!
