My partner Josh and I are traveling around the world: we're heading to the Pacific Northwest (US), Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Thailand, India, Spain, Morocco, France and Germany..

ABOUT ME

Josh and Anna met at Ananda Ashram in upstate New York while Josh was studying to be a yoga teacher and Anna was studying Sanskrit. After hiking together in Yellowstone and backpacking around India, we decided to embark on a 10-month round-the-world trip.

Anna lived in Paris for 10 years and is fluent in French. Josh also speaks French, they both speak Italian, and are gaining proficiency in Spanish. Recently, Anna has taken up Hindi and Josh Japanese.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As travelers, we don't currently have a couch to offer, but we will in the future. We look forward to swapping stories with fellow travelers and learning about where they live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had nothing but great experiences couchsurfing. We've made lasting friendships on our travels that we hope will last a lifetime. There's nothing like seeing a place through the eyes of someone who loves where they live.

Interests

Anna is passionate about books and language-learning, but also enjoys tango, knitting and croquet. Josh loves classical piano, contact improvisation, bicycling, birdwatching and talking about woodworking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Josh: the ruins at Uxmal, Mexico (Yucatan), Stonehenge, the Enchantment lakes (Washington state).
Anna: the Giotto frescoes in Assisi, living in a 6X10-foot boathouse on the edge of a lake in upstate New York, the Amber fort in Jaipur (India).
