ABOUT ME

Right now I'm embracing being in my mid-twenties for all it's worth. Sometimes I'm afraid to make mistakes, but for the most part I manage to remember that everything is a learning experience so I might as well go balls to the wall with everything I do.

PHILOSOPHY

My general approach to life is perhaps best summed up by Rainer Maria Rilke:

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm prepping for a move, so I don't have a couch to offer right now, but I will starting in July! I'm really excited by the prospect of hosting people and getting to do some travelling myself!

Interests

I'm a lover of all things literary- books, writing, reading, libraries, etc. I also place high value on the arts and creative pursuits, including photography, sewing, collage, theatre, and museums. I love beaches and vast expanses of nature, although I haven't gotten to spend nearly as much time as I'd like to out of the cities and suburbs. I moved back to California from Boston last year, and I'm ready for a break from urban life I think.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I need to get out and do more awesome things so I can update this section! Several years ago, I went snorkeling in Hawaii with sea turtles and dolphins. I'm getting my PADI dive certification soon, and would love to do something like that again.
