ABOUT ME
I just quit my job as a civil engineer in order to figure out what exactly I want to spend my life doing. What I know right now is that I music, art, culture, nature, and people! I have a good time wherever I end up - be it camping in the middle of a forest or surrounded by crowds in a big city. I'm easygoing and cheery, love new experiences and adventures, and am consistently amazed by how beautiful the world is.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed a bit in Europe, when I had an internship in Leipzig, and then last summer in California with my friend. My housemate and I hosted some people at our place in Toronto over the last year, which was super fun.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's been pretty spotty, but I've really enjoyed both the hosting and surfing experiences I've had.
Interests
I love to learn, and I love to share what I've learned with others who are interested.
That love of learning comes with me when I travel - you can always find me reading plaques or brochures, and I always enjoy hearing stories from locals about their home.
I believe life should be a constant pursuit of knowledge and of bettering one's self - I try to keep that in mind wherever I am, and whatever I do.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love nearly all kinds of music. Some of my all time favs are braids, joni mitchell, blue hawaii, vampire weekend, drake, fka twigs, and ryan adams.
As for books, infinite jest by david foster wallace, lolita by vladimir nabokov, and gilead by marilynne robinson have all changed my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sun rise on the Baltic Sea from the top of the salt cliffs in Jasmund National Park, Germany.
Being surrounded by live oaks and mossy cypress trees in Charleston, South Carolina, the air so thick it settles on your shoulders, the perfect stillness of the swampwater broken only by the knobby unexplainable cypress knees.
Teach, Learn, Share
My thirst for knowledge is unquenchable - I would be happy to learn about anything someone else would enjoy teaching me! As for me, I know way too much about linguistics and Canadian history for to not share. :)
Countries I’ve Visited
