CURRENT MISSION

Currently, I'm working on accepting the fact that there is no balance to be had between being a student and a single mom. Instead, I'm focusing on having fun, traveling as much as I can, and spending lots of time with my daughter.

ABOUT ME

I'm now a thirty-something, happily single-parenting my daughter, and really enjoying life. I'm lucky to be a student right now, my favorite moments are when I get to sit down with a good book to read for awhile knowing that it's what I'm supposed to be doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the opportunity to stay with two families when we were visiting England. They were two totally different experiences, but the universal realization I made about couchsurfing is that you can never anticipate what it'll be like and that's the beauty of it. If we already knew how people lived around the world, then where would the adventure in backpacking be?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 15, I was traveling with a friend and her family in Holland. We were staying on a barge and I woke up early in the morning, climbed up top where the mist was intense and I took a photo of a dock and its reflection in the water. It was just this beautiful alone moment, and I have the picture to relive it whenever I feel like it.
