Nice to meet you - my name is Anna. I'm from Germany, currently living and studying in Ireland.

Do you know how to hide from an elephant in open terrain? Do you know how to navigate in the desert? Do you know that there are time zones with half an hour difference?

No?! Well, I didn't know that either before I lived and worked in Cape Town and Tehran. Both incredible places which taught me a lot - about the joy of life, resilience and hospitality...and the answers to the questions above.

That's why I love to travel: I love to get to know new people, places and cultures (like probably everyone here ;) I like to see the world with my own eyes and experience the many different ways of living, learning not only new things, but also a lot about myself and my home country Germany.

I'm kind of an adventurous, open-minded and curious person. But at the same time I sometimes like to just spend an evening with a cup of tea and a good book.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and I'm always curious to meet new people.
There's simply no better way to dive into the culture of a foreign country than by getting to know the locals. So, I'm always happy to meet up.
