ABOUT ME

A description of self, difficult...
Let's see, obviously I enjoy being creative and working in the arts, complicated though it makes my life. I have a problem with wanting to do too many things and being unable to narrow things down, always have. I enjoy being provoked to think, and having discussions that do so, but I also enjoy being with people who are good at having fun and being in the moment (which I am less good at). I live in a largish house in Melbourne with my boyfriend of the above description (he makes me laugh), my brother (computer geek extraordinaire), friend (long time circus buddy), and my cat (fluffily georgeous, but snobbish). I can always see two sides to things (I was always in the middle in family disputes), and am a bit of a coward, especially when it comes to people, but am very slowly getting better. Looking to travel and put myself in new situations and challenge myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Again difficult. You guys ask a lot!
Ok let's give it a go. My biggest words are COMPASSION and EMPATHY, something that I am still working on, and I really admire people that are naturally really caring. There are always two (or more likely several) sides to everything, and there is no black and white, only grey. I find it hard to make firm judgments when it's always about something that I know so little, how can I make a judgment about something when I don't know enough about it. I do care about the environment, and realise that our behavior and our lifestyle is self-destructive, and why does nobody talk about population, isn't it our biggest problem? See what I mean, difficult, it's all over the place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have couch surfed several times and thoroughly enjoyed it. looking forward to hosting people whenever I get back to a stable household in Australia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have surfed in Edinburgh, Toulouse and Barcelona. It has always been an amazingly positive experience and has at times helped us out of tough situatations.

Intereses

Circus, art, reading, cooking, eating, thinking, philosophy, movies, traveling, gardening (not very good at it but would like to be), writing, and anything creative, science (especially the big concepts), games, and lots of other stuff.
