About Me

A nice shade of SASSY. Enneagram 8. I love to give back and make the world a better place. I love to host people when I can! When I can't, it will appear on my profile:)

"I come as one, but I stand as 10,000" - Maya Angelou
The essential is invisible to the eyes".
"Ezina ekinez egina"
"Only those who dare venturing too far can possibly find out how far they can actually get".
"Teach the wise and you'll make them wiser; teach the fool and you'll make them your enemy"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To save money and help others save money while I meet interesting people! I love hosting, helping and being a guest, engaging with the local community and sharing. It is great to give back to the world after it's been so generous to me during my travels. I'm grateful and want to contribute to bringing the opportunity of travelling affordably and sustainably to others. Together we can create a more meaningful, more connected, better universe (metaverse?) for us all to live blessed in. Sharing is caring and travelling in all forms (even vicariously through someone's stories) is one of the greatest joys in life.

The Couchsurfing experience as a guest is the best to get a feel of the local scene and mix with its people rather than just with other travelers in hostels or hotels, getting only glimpses, scratching the surface of the essence.
Working in tourism in the past brought me joy & fulfilment. As it does my other career&related passion: journalism. I was also an event organiser & active participant & board member of AEGEE [European Students Forum].

Travel provides you with different states of mind and shades of reality everywhere you go. It brings the greatest treasures. A wide range of experiences and diversity to grow, spread your wings and develop your highest self. The prize is who you become. Which wouldn't be possible without the wonderful human beings you cross paths with, (re)shaping you.

As a host/local guide, CouchSurfing allows you to form meaningful connections or simply help/share what you can with others. Which is in itself fulfilling as a Christian. To offer shelter, be it physical or emotional. To share travel stories, get into deep philosophical talks or simply laugh at very random adventures is a true delight to be thankful for in CouchSurfing.

Honesty is one of my core values, as it showcases respect to others and thyself. Hence, saving cash is one of the top advantages of this app. Even though the best of them all is being able to rely on the kindness of strangers and offering the same. The deep joy of giving and making someone's life better. To help them keep believing in humanity. I see too many profiles not mentioning the financial side (don't be shy!;) ). I like to keep it real & down to Earth. Making my desire for frequent travels more affordable helps me to keep building my dream projects instead of becoming a modern-day slave. The collective benefits from fulfilled individuals, who love themselves enough to aim high, to give themselves a shot at their highest potential and, as it goes both ways, these shiny happy people also want the best for others. Caring genuinely and spreading positivity and possibilities. High energy.

Interests

Deep talks with people of substance.

Skilled communication.

Common sense.

Intelligence.

Music, Movies, and Books

Volbeat or anything that would fit in a Soundwave festival in Melbourne again. Though I'm quite eclectic and like a bit of everything. I absolutely love The XX. Classical music is nice too, depending on the mood / activity. Speaking of, there's nothing like solid hardstyle for a good training session or a long run. Australian Brennan Heart is my favourite DJ for it.

I'm not a big movie watcher, since I train a lot and can't be bothered. I'd rather create my own movie storyline day by day;) "It's a wonderful life", a classic, is the first one that comes to mind.

Same as with movies: barely time for them anymore. I read and write online a lot. And live audio books for running, if that counts: "Can't hurt me", by David Goggins, "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck", by Mark Manson... I like biographies, where you can learn from others, or purely educational books. There's no limit to the mind's potential.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Life on my terms
- Kickboxing
- Midnight Sun Marathon 2023 (Tromsø, Norway) in a nightless sky. Befriended the 10K winners before the start.
- Ran 2 marathons in a month gap in 2018
- Ran my 1st full marathon in Australia (Canberra 2016)
- Lived around the world for years
- Joined an unexpected road trip in Iceland. It made an unreleased record for TripAdvisor, directed by Rick Mereki. Still kept in limbo up to date (Feb 2013)

Teach, Learn, Share

I worked as a running coach for beginners. Can also teach you some kickboxing, English or Spanish. Can offer a professional photoshoot to the wonderful human beings who'd host me.

If you're my (potential) guest, please know that my flat is strictly non-smoking and that I don't drink, so I won't take you out for a beer nor to party. But I'm energetic, outgoing and have a wide range of conversation topics, so you won't get bored;) However, if you're tired and mostly need mostly to rest, I'm happy to chat a bit and let you in your cocoon, as I retreat in mine. It brings me joy to just help other travellers and make this lifestyle possible for everyone. We all benefit from creating a better world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My quick wit and dark jokes! Irreverent and sassy sense of humour.
We can go for a run.
