I love to travel and meet new people! I am currently studying Physics in Durham as an Erasmus student for one year because the British culture and British food (especially scones) are simply amazing. Regarding my hobbies, being in nature inspires me. Therefore my favourite thing to do during vacation is going hiking (preferably with high mountains but I also enjoy hiking in the Lake District, which has a magnificent landscape ). I also enjoy sailing and doing tours by bike. Although I'm not a talented artist, I like drawing and painting. On rainy evenings I also love watching movies and playing card games (most of them are German, but easy enough to explain). When I have time, I try out new recipes for baking and cooking but as I'm not very good at following the recipe, the result is usually a surprise. I am very neat and I don't smoke. I'd like to share my stories, favourite recepies (and even cook if you're up to it) and lot's of fun!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

This is a wounderful way to meet other people, learn about their culture and stay at their homes. So far, I have only heard about good experiences from other people using couchsurfing to travel and I am looking forward to make some of them on my own. This is the best way to meet up with people who know the area and enjoy having guests.

I usually listen to music of the past fifty years with some exceptions. My everyday music list includes all the top charts from the 60ies to the 90ies, but of course I also like modern music like i.e. Adele. I read lots of books, most of them are fantasy books and also a great majority are very good, so I can't select a favourite one right now...But I really like "Cassandra Clare" and "Kelly Armstrong", just to give names to two great authors.

I'm always happy to talk about my Physics studies, but I enjoy even more talking about other subjects I can learn from (like culture and food). As I grew up in southern Germany, I know all about the people there, their dialects and some funny words that only exist in that area so its always funny to teach them to other people.
