ABOUT ME

I am a graduate student in urban planning. I live in NYC and love it. I would live somewhere else for a short while but NYC will always be my home. If i don't get to stay there for life i will move close by.

For fun I love theatre, puppets, the arts generally, fun interactive art, seeing live music, dancing, swimming, biking, cooking, eating, drinking, looking at maps, planning outings, hanging with friends, theme parties, going on dates, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has their ups and downs--it can be difficult, but I try to navigate artfully. I believe in going forth with love, and trying your best to accept and appreciate others. I am grateful for my life and try to respect the Earth and everything she has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

comedies, weird movies, film noir, French films, Canadian films, other foreign films, not too picky--tend to see more live theatre.

indie rock, classic rock, alternative rock, jazz, classical, funk, prog, i'm really not picky here either, try to be open to all kinds, but i really like my ladies from the 1980s.

i tend to read more non-fiction, but would like to get back into more fiction at some point. One of my favorite modern-day authors is Margaret Atwood. I like all kinds of stuff. plays and poetry and graphic novels are up there, too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was not nearly enough of a participant, but I think that Occupy was pretty damn amazing.

Along that thread... I really enjoyed being an apprentice at Bread and Puppet once!

I like to talk about garbage and waste. How do we, and how should we, dispose of it? How can we better reduce, reuse and recycle? Is our municipality doing a good enough job? Are we doing enough as individuals? What are some things that you do?
