About Me
ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Hyeyoung and I am originally from South Korea. Everybody except Koreans, have difficulty pronouncing my name so even if you can't pronounce my name correctly, I understand. My names is pronounced as Hey-young but if you just absolutely can't, you can call me Anna too.
When I was younger, I moved to the United States and ever since, I lived in Washington until 2011. I am currently living in Cadiz, Andalusia, Spain participating a study abroad program, studying Spanish at Universidad de Cadiz. I LOVE Spain, Spanish culture, Spanish people, food and everything about it. It's just amazing. I am supposed to be here for a semester but who knows, I might decide to stay here in Spain until December!
I love learning a new language, and its culture. New languages and different cultures always amaze me. My life goal is to master Spanish, French, Arabic, Japanese and more other languages possibly. Before I came to Spain, I had a lot of hesitations and fears about Spain. I hadn't been to Spain and my Spanish skill wasn't good enough to understand all Spanish speakers. However, it's much, much better than I expected. Everyone in Cadiz was/and still is welcoming, charming, friendly, happy, lay-back, cool and all other positive adjectives:)
I am a good listener. I don't smoke. I never thought I am a dishonest, horrible person in my life. There were moments when I hated myself but I've always tried to be honest to everyone. I am friendly and love meeting new and different people. I think there is just so much things to see and learn around the world and I am going to do every single thing while I am "young-er":)
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe Diem: Seize the day.
Live life to the Fullest
I try to enjoy my life, myself, my people and every second I have fully. There are definitely difficult moments to carry on my philosophy but I know that it is just going to be okay somehow.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE watching movies. I love all kinds of movies that are not horror movies. I LOVE "Load of the Rings trilogy", "Forest Gump", "Blind Side", "Harry Potter series", "3 Idiots", "Nodame Cantabile" and everything else that's good. I am not picky about movies.
When I was younger, I listened to rocks mostly such as Avril Lavigne but nowadays, I prefer alterative, pop, jazz and indie musics. I love Fredrika Stahl, Nena Daconte, Ibady, James Blunt, Mika, Jason Mraz, Winterplay, Keren Ann, Lifehouse, Lilly Allen, Nell, Norah Jones, Owl City, Priscilla Ahn, Rilo Kiley, Russian Red, Ben Lee, Amy Winehouse, and many other Korean indie musicians!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing Thing Done: I've lived in three different countries. They all were and are amazing and wonderful experiences.
Amazing Thing Seen: Spanish young people offering their seats to elderly en autobus(bus) o tren. I was impressed.
