CURRENT MISSION

before i was born pieces of my heart were buried in many places. a few pieces are here with me in minneapolis. now i begin my search for the rest of them.

ABOUT ME

To give you a picture, here is a day in my skin. Wake up about 9, make coffee and putz about breakfast, usually with roommates. dress and prepare, ride bike to the mayday cafe where i barista. I arrive early to chat with the many neighborhood folk who gather there. after work i may do some sewing at home, ride bikes with friends, cook yummy food (with lots of butter!), read a novel, or maybe go out to a show. I also sometimes go to yoga classes and visit my mother in st paul. i love to see my friends, but i dont usually like big parties. aside from my relationships the biggest parts of my life are food (growing, cooking, eating), art (sewing, drawing), and reading (currently kurt vonnegut and john irving). My boistrous extended family is mostly on the East coast, and we all love getting together once or twice a year. i am currently about to embark on a traveling adventure with my suprecool younger sister.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My friends and i used CS to stay with people in Mexico, and that went really well. here in MPLS my roommate has hosted one or two couchsurfers, and that worked out as well. now i am looking forward to getting connected to people through CS as i travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two friends and i stayed with an awesome couchsurfer in mexico city. she was so cool we ended up staying there for almost a month total. she had an empty room that we turned into our bedroom, and we cooked in her kitchen. we also met two or three other couchsurfers who came through there while we were there. that was such a good experience that i became convinced how awesome CS is!

Intereses

like i said above, i am interested in novels, art, a conscious, wholesome and enjoyable experience with food, yoga/good-feelin-body-stuff, walking through new cities, drinking coffee at cute cafes. i have a strong appreciation for the aesthetics of life.

books/authors- by kurt vonnegut or tom robbins, the maytrees by annie dillard, gertrude stein, louise erdrich, gravity's rainbow by thomas pynchon, as i lay dying by w. faulkner, confederacy of dunces, and so on
