ABOUT ME

I like trying new things, I'm curious and open - I love life - maybe a little too much? I can get greedy with it. I'm introverted by nature, though I'm often the one who wrangles/takes initiative/connects people.

I'm half Dutch and lived there for 9 years - long enough to thoroughly confuse my idea of home. Everywhere I go I make deep connections, which confuses it further, or maybe I should say it stretches it. Yeah, my home is stretchy.

PHILOSOPHY

Well I hope to be able to contribute as much as I can towards bettering our world with the abilities I've been given. I guess that's all anyone wants. Despite it being a crazy road - often it's been an unmarked, very overgrown trail - one of those ones you get on and think "this can't be it, can it?" - it is the only one for me. I could never work in an office in a skyscraper (besides the fact that I never understand what goes on inside of those - WHO works in skyscrapers?? I've never met ANYone - so if there's anyone out there - I would love to hear your story! Truly). Anyway. This is probably supposed to be one sentence. I'm so bad at this - I've never done an online profile. I'll stop for now :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can't offer a couch due to my roommate situation. I would love to use it when I travel, which is fairly often! I've been meaning to sign up for years - many of my friends are couchsurfers and have told me I am made for this - I so look forward to meeting people along my route . . .

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have vicariously had many heartwarming and inspiring ones - my own are "pending" . . .

Intereses

Wow, again, this is tough because I'm interested in practically everything. Main ones though are:
All of the arts: I love to dance (been tapping since I was wee, ballet since my teen years, and most recently a bit of tango), I'm a puppeteer, animator, illustrator, and general experimenter. I love to travel - especially the kind where I get to stay in one place for a month or more. I love people - we're endlessly fascinating, both inside and out. Speaking of: NATURE! Woah.
