I love meeting new people and connecting with new places. By meeting local people I don't just feel like a passing tourist, but far more involved in local culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love travel movies such as Tracks and Into the Wild. They really inspire me and make me want to go on similar adventures!
Also since travelling in Japan I have become interested in Japanese cinema such as Tokyo Story. Watching this film really deepened my understanding and appreciation of the beauty of Japanese culture.
The books I find most interesting are about climate change - which is an issue I am really passionate about. I would highly recommend The Great Derangement by Amitav Ghosh.
I am open to all music and love being recommended new things to listen to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gotten over an irrational fear of travelling solo and have now been in Japan/ South Korea alone for almost a month and a half. I have had the most amazing time and met wonderful people.
