ABOUT ME

My friends would say a whole lot of nice things about me ;). I actually found out last weekend when we did the game of magical connection. A game in which you give each other cards with words that represent you. They gave me the following words; Fire, Strength, Feeling, Be, Future, Spring and Laughter. Next to that I have heard from many people that I have a natural tranquillity. I am not the chatting type although I love to listen and talk to people about important things in life. Important things in life for me are planet earth, durability, nature, people, love, laughing, experience, spirituality and mysticism. I would say I am driven by the intrinsic motivation of contributing to a better world in which we can share more and consume less. Next to that I love the complexity of life and contradictions. I believe there is not one truth but many and are open to experience.

Interests

I have a broad interest in life in general. I love to be around people who are on the same wavelength from other cultures and talk. But I also love to be tested by people who are critical on order not to lose myself in a thought. Next to that I love to eat and cook, especially in that order as cooking is not my speciality but I realise cooking is necessary to eat. I try to eat organic food as much as possible and only rarely eat meat. I do not watch TV but do watch movies and especially documentaries. I spend my free time visiting the farm to go horse riding and practice some pilates and yoga.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

By far the best moments in life where spontaneous meet ups with people from other cultures who asked striking questions. Like the one in Surinam where a Maroon asked me why western girls shave their legs and put on nail polish, or the Bedouin who asked me why I didn’t have any children or the South African girl that stated we talked so much on Dutch TV. Next to that simple things like a coffee in the sun or feeling loved by friends.
