About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a fun-loving, adventurous person who loves nothing more than travel and good books. I also value humor and compassion above all else and like to take time to notice the little things (as you’ll normally find them quite funny really). I am technically a mix of American and British, however I spent my entire life growing up overseas thanks to my dad’s job working with an NGO. I love to explore new places and meet new people and couchsurfing seems like an incredible way to do just that!
PHILOSOPHY
Don't delay the happy. If you're not happy, change your situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I am traveling abroad, so I am mainly looking for couches to crash on rather than hosting.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never couchsurfed before, however I have had a very positive experience using warmshowers (very similar to couchsurfing but specialized in cyclists) in San Francisco.
Interests
I really like reading as well as discovering new music. I love the outdoors, especially hiking and camping. I am currently majoring in economics and art at college and am very interested in photography and magazine layout as well as marketing and how it all works. I have a Pentax K1000 and would love to talk about photography or anything that interests you! I especially like learning new crafts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a boarding school in the middle of nowhere, Wales and it was the most incredible experience that resulted in the best friendships. One of my closest friends and I decided to take a train journey from Cardiff up through Scotland during one of the school breaks and I will never forget getting far enough north in Scotland that we needed to get off a train to take a bus to where the train could resume its journey due to snow. That second leg of the journey that day felt absolutely amazing. I don't think there could be a better feeling than looking out over the snowy lakes and hillsides from a warm train knowing that you are truly far away from everything.
Another moment that was incredible was hiking Bartle Frere in Australia. It is the tallest mountain in Queensland and the hike up seemed to go on forever as there were no real lookouts and the shelter was covered in fog, however waking up to watch the sunrise atop this mountain was awe-inspiring. The clouds were below us we were so high up and they lit up in different colors as the sun rose.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak English and Spanish so I could help people learn a little of either language.
I enjoy analog photography so I could teach people the basics of manual photography (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc) or how to use a darkroom if we are near one.
