ABOUT ME

I live in Calgary AB, Canada with my partner John from Victoria BC. I have gone to school for Environmental Studies and french and hope to complete my degree someday and add on Child and Youth Studies. I love camp, having beers at the pub, playing board games, climbing, roller skating, cycling and running. I want to see the world, and live around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Willing to have tea or lunch or hang out with anyone who comes by Calgary, can offer a spare bed or couches or find you a place here. I hope to use couch surfing to find connections and friends around the world, and make traveling much more enjoyable and personal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbie but did have a fortunate experience of sitting next to a CSer on the Greyhound bus when I couldnt get a hold of my Toronto contact and stayed with the Couch Surfer. A safe and helpful experience.

Interests

I love the arts, I love being outdoors, running or cycling, hiking and camping. I am learning how to rollerskate, and how to climb. I once started a Quidditch team in Victoria and travelled to New york to compete. I like playing board games and cards, having a beer with friends, and wandering new cities.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Shaved my Head Twice for Canadian Cancer Society
- Seen Victoria Falls, Zambia.
- Had an all-girl Rock band in High School
- Finished the Katimavik program with a full group! (katimavik.org)
- Completed the Explore program (myexplore.ca)
- Went solo skydiving in Campbell River, BC from 300 ft.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what I can teach, but I'm sure there is something. How do you feel about childrens games and campfire songs? beginners french, fire spinning and drumming? I have a habit of learning just a little of everything. Would love to learn more.
