I am a student currently studying abroad in Scotland, but I am from the USA where I live and go to school in Minnesota (land of 10,000 lakes!). In Minnesota, I study biology and economics. I would consider myself to be quite an easy-going person and someone who doesn't like being bored. The past few summers I've worked at a summer camp, so I am someone who knows how to be responsible and fun simultaneously. My ideal day would be spent outside, eating some good food (and lots of it!), and laughing with my friends. My favorite animal is an elephant, favorite beverage is milk, and favorite sport is gymnastics (both to do and to watch).

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

My best friend and I are planning a month long excursion around Europe in December and January. We will be starting in London, fly to Oslo, and then use our Eurail Passes to work out way through Europe ending in Florence. This trip is commencing after a semester abroad in Scotland by me, and sandwiched between two semesters of studying abroad in Italy for my friend. We want to try out couch surfing in order to get a better sense of the places we are staying in, and the best way to learn is through the locals!

Interesses

Traveling, naturally, is high on the list. I love baking, eating what I've baked, climbing mountains, reading really long books, doing nothing with my best friends, and joking around with my family. I enjoy doing art, whether it is pottery or doodling in my notebook margins - however, I'm really not so great at it. I love studying and learning, although around exam times I find that I'm also very good at procrastination...

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I will listen to almost all music, with the exception of heavy metal and whiney boy bands. As the Christmas season is approaching, I am in progress of switching over and just listening to Christmas jams 24/7. However, I'd have to say if Mumford and Sons decide to go on another tour, I will buy tickets to see them in a heartbeat. I love love love to read, but I could not tell you my favorite book. It all depends on the context of my life when I read it! But Harry Potter will forever be my favorite series.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I've been to a continental divide (the point where the water is divided between draining into the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean) in two different places - one in Colorado, USA and the other in Costa Rica. Although the hikes to get to both weren't that difficult, they were both wonderful experiences that made me think about how amazing our world. Especially when I was in Costa Rica, because from where we were standing we could see both the Atlantic AND Pacific Oceans. I'm currently in progress of doing more amazing things, but honestly just living and seeing and learning is an amazing thing in itself.
