About Me
CURRENT MISSION
explore, enjoy, connect, help, learn... by bike!
ABOUT ME
I'm currently living and working at a birth center in the corner of Texas - the Rio Grande Valley. There is something to be said for living with a group of do-gooder volunteers and working toward a common goal.
When I'm not working (and let's hope I'm not delivering babies while I'm staying at your house!) I'm a pretty laid back, open-minded midwestern gal. I enjoy exploring new places, riding bikes, drinking beer, dancing, camping, getting out into nature.
PHILOSOPHY
Just go! The rest will fall into place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hoping to hang out with couchsurfing hosts during my travels this year and once I land in a permanent place again I will host at home as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Pretty new, have used it a couple of times several years ago, but still getting a feel. One thing I know is that couchsurfers are kind-souled folks!

Music, Movies, and Books
I just read Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. That woman knows everything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One recent amazing adventure was climbing the tallest mountain in Costa Rica on my own, on somewhat of a whim. I went from a resort with my family to the cloud forested mountain with very little preparation.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a nurse midwife and would be happy to share my knowledge with whoever is interested. Want to learn about fertility (or fertility control)? Labor and childbirth? Women's health? Newborn care?
You might think this info is just for the ladies, but fellas can learn a lot about women and children from these discussions too :)
