ABOUT ME

I am originally from Oxford in England and came over to Australia in January this year after meeting my Australian boyfriend in Spain. While I've grown up and pretty much stayed in Oxford for most of my life, I have also lived in Spain for 6 months and studied the language while I was there.

Although I sometimes think of myself as a pretty "safe" person, I guess I do like to take risks and follow my heart as well. Coming to Melbourne has been a big adventure for me and has made me realise how much more of the world there is to see.

I am very much a people person so love to chat and meet new people.I really think you can learn a lot from speaking to others. One of my main passions is food - I LOVE it! So if anyone would like to cook me a meal, I am always up for trying new dishes. I am also a big fan of wine and so can often be found with a glass in my hand in the evenings. I love to sit back, chill and watch a film in the evenings, but I can also be a party animal at weekends. I love music and dancing so am always up for going to a club and letting go or just visiting some cool bars.

You really have to take an opportunity if it presents itself to you. You will never know unless you try.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this couch surfing lark but I know how I have felt being new to a country, even if you are with someone. It'd be great to meet others and help them out. I am currently travelling SE Asia with my boyfriend from Jan-Jul 2015 so would love to meet some great people and stay with locals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't couch surfed myself yet but cannot wait to try it out as I think it is such a great idea. I have hosted my friend recently and would be happy to meet others by hosting.

FOOD FOOD FOOD! I also love wine and going and checking out new bars and restaurants. I am a big fan of music and dancing. I did do a bit of salsa a long time ago and I currently do pole dancing for fitness. I also used to sing in a band so I love a good song, but I'm not too prone to outbursts at home so don't worry! I love different cultures, people, opinions, behaviour...it's all so fascinating.

I am a big fan of movies from back in the 80's when I was a child. Not a big girlie movie fan but I do try to like them. I also like most music - I don't discriminate. I love reading. I don't care if it's a trashy novel or some highly philosophical masterpiece.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of my favourite times so far has been arriving in Australia for the first time last year. I had never been before and never thought I'd ever come here because I am terrified of flying. I went to the Grampians and along the Great Ocean Road - the scenery was incredible and I saw so much wildlife. It really was so exciting and exotic to me. My best moment of that trip was sitting on some cliffs of a secluded beach watching an amazing sunset over the sea with a glass of wine and someone special next to me.
