ABOUT ME

Great opportunity to sublet my apartment from July 2 - Aug 24. You will have my master bedroom and share the apartment with my 2 sons. 5 minutes by car from Venice Beach and Marina del Rey, 10 minutes to Santa Monica. Write me fast as I am interviewing candidates. Of course, during this period, couchsurfing will be suspended.

I have lived in Rio, Los Angeles, Rome, and now back to LA where my sons now go to college. My heart is also in Italy where I lived for 2 years and my dream is to live there during the hot months. I love diversity and novelty. Meeting people from different cultures expands knowledge. I am eternally curious, therefore people say I don't look my age. I love to eat well, so I am a great cook! I am definitely into health, researching and practicing. I got a book to launch " Brazilian Secrets for a Joyful Life". Yep, the good stuff is all there if you want to know more about how we Brazilians are always smiling no matter what happens around. I love nature and beauty. Actually I see beauty everywhere. I am an environmentalist and my last documentary " Amazons Awake" is about the Amazon and Cerrado medicinal plants, an ancient indigenous women ritual that reclaims balance of ying/yang and confirms the existence of the Amazon women warriors in Brazil. When my son was 5 he told me I would be a doctor in my next reincarnation. For this life I am just a visionary and a caring human being.

Respectful. Discreet. Quiet. Delicate. I am a visionary with many projects but enjoy little things of life, specially good conversation, preparing and eating a healthy meal, appreciating landscapes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch a lot of films as I work for Netflix and that's part of my job. I have a special liking for " Jean de Florette" and " Manon of the Springs" with Gerard Depardieu and Emmanuelle Beart, and " Toto Le Heros" and " The 8th Day" ( both by a Belgium director), I love the Argentinian " Son of the Bride" . and many classics of Brazil Cinema Novo. I also enjoyed all Ang Lee's films specially " Crunching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". I love epics, have seen " The Gladiator" and " Braveheart" lots of times. I like films with well defined characters and a story that presents surprises. As a screenwriter myself I am kind of picky. Films for me are nourishment, and I am careful about what I see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flew over the Amazon on helicopter. Slept in Indian village in Xingu for many days. Rafted down Grand Canyon. Climbed beautiful mountains, Pico da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro, sailed around Rio's bay, climbed all to the top of Vesuvio volcano in Italy, danced in a huge field of flowers in Casteluccio, Italy.

I can exchange those lovely days at your couch with everything you want to know about Brazil and Italy. I can teach you great food cooking - easy to do. I can teach you isostretching a technique that removes pain and places your back where it should be. I can teach you how to speak Portuguese and Italian( include French. I am looking forward to learn what you have learned from life as well. We are in this planet for exchange.
