Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and connect with local people who know a different side of the place than what is shared in travel books! My partner and I are travelling to the UK in August 2016 and want to make it the trip of a lifetime!

Both my partner and I love travelling and outdoorsy experiences. I love hiking, kayaking, and he is into snowboarding and hockey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled for 7 months to South East Asia and Australia! That was the best trip of my life and I learned so much about myself and others at the same time-particularly the kindness of strangers. One of the hardest things I've done was a 10 day Vipassana silent meditation retreat-who knew you could spend 10 days without a cell phone!

I've completed 2 Tough Mudders and a half marathon and love to challenge myself physically! Blane is the same and completed one of the TM's with me. Blane is very physically active and was a university football player. He also holds his fire fighter certifications and was elected class Vice-president for his graduating class at Kilgore Fire Academy.
