Interests

I like to spend any free time taking photos! I would love to be great at it. My little brother (11 months behind me) bought me a wonderful camera and I am taking some classes to get better at it. I love to talk photography and plans for fun. I like to travel but have done a lot of it and like to spend my time at home with my little ones. They are 2, 4, and 8 and they are great! I have offered to host friends at my home for years but rarely do they make the effort and when my friend Karen Yan told me about this site, I loved the idea. Years ago, my mother and I hosted a family with the "Friendship Force" early 90's and it was a wonderful experience. They were from Columbia and we kept up through letters for many years despite the language barrier. I love to meet new people and make new friends. My mother is also interested in this and when she is healthy (cancer treatments right now) she wants to join also. I spent 27 years in the Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in October of 2013. I still have a lot of friends from the military in the DC area as well as Tampa, Fl, Ohio, Jacksonville Fl, Cocoa Beach and all over the US and overseas from my years in the military. I hope to make some new friends. I am currently going through a divorce and my summers will be away from my children beginning in June and I will have the summers to host and travel and plan to take full advantage of this site.
