About Me

CURRENT MISSION

People, places, adventure, cake...

ABOUT ME

I currently live in London after various travels, which mostly involved going back and forth between England and France (and thus explains my terrible French). My spare time is spent going on mini adventures, doing arty things, a lot of cooking, trying to learn new things and retain old ones...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It is completely new to me so none yet...

Interests

I love painting, drawing, making up ridiculous cartoons that always remain half finished, making novelty cakes, reading, laughing, stepping on really dry leaves in autumn, digging, sparrows, running fast, cycling slow (and mostly downhill), meeting interesting people, fig rolls and russets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think I have seen quite a lot of amazing things so far, though many of the best are tiny, seemingly insignificant things – like a garden of evening primroses all popping open as the sun goes down, a somewhat unobservant family of foxes raiding the neighbour’s bin or our resident squirrel making off with half the fruit bowl after discovering how to use the cat flap. Amazing wildlife – snorkeling in Jamaica, a hummingbird hawk mouth in Bernie’s garden in the Limousin, my cat trying to eat a tennis ball? Amazing places – Durham Cathedral during winter evensong, Bruges (when in love), the passages of Marrakesh, Waterperry Gardens/the allotment on a sunny August afternoon…
