I'm a real Dutch girl and have lived most of my life in Haarlem. Even though I study in Amsterdam I prefer this smaller town. I've been lucky enough to have traveled a lot for holidays, study and voluntering work. I'm always up for a party. I prefer rock and metal music but can also enjoy other music. As a Dutch person I normally drink beer when I go out, but in Italy I learned to enjoy wine as well :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When I was living in Italy to learn the language I met a guy via a mutual friend. We became amici immediatly. He told me about couchsurfing and has shown me things of Italy I would have never discovered on my own. It's a great way to meet locals and experience the culture when you're abroad. In my own country I'm a member of the local expat group. But I really like the mentality that comes with couchsurfing.

On the top of my list of interest stands Traveling! I like to see as many countries in my life as possible. I've always had a great interest in African and Middle Eastern countries, but I find it difficult to travel there alone. So I like to alternate with more western countries. I like driving (but not really in the Netherlands), deep sea diving and horse riding.

I discoverd that a lot of peope don't know how to cycle or have never been on the back of a bike. If you are one of those people, I'll try to teach you. Or you can just jump on the back of my bike like a true local :)
