ABOUT ME

I have been travelling in Latin America for a 1 1/2 year - Latin American countries and culture mean something quite special to me. I have a terrible memory - and forget the names of films the week after I've seen them - even the ones that I really liked :) But I believe I remember what's important.

PHILOSOPHY

Maybe it's somewhere in here - my "personal philosophy", but not verbalized yet... will try and work on that!

Interests

.... I like people! And languages. And wandering around flea markets. I like post it notes and things that are hand written. I like travelling - life is the best when every day is not predictable and nothing so planned that it cannot be changed. I like meeting people and experiencing different ways of living :o) - in that way CS makes my daily life some sort of journey, regularly bringing all these new people into it - and widen my perspective just a bit more all the time! :o)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like going to the cinema to watch a good movie, but have no tv in my home. I prefer "smaller movies" and have a thing for all that is spanish/latinamerican. Some movies I really enjoyed; the mexican movie Silent Light, Dancer in the Dark, Átame, Los Lunes al Sol. Make sure to see "The science of sleep" if you haven't seen it yet, sweet film about dreams, reality, imagination and all the stuff going on in your head all the time.

Books. To mention a few authors and books that I have really appreciated: Gabriel García Márquez, Juan Rulfo (the magic realism), Paulo Coelho, Haruki Murakami (Kafka on the Shore).

Music. Angus and Julia Stone, Band of Horses, Björk, Beach House, Beck, Beirut, Bill Callahan, Camera Obscura, Camille, Cat Power, CocoRosie, The Decemberists, Efterklang, Franz Ferdinand, Gotan Project, Goldfrapp, Mazzy Star, The National, Portishead, The Whitest Boy Alive, Morcheeba,, Under Byen, Snow Patrol, Willy Mason, Laleh, Massive Attack, Sigur Ros, Uzi & Ari, Múm, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things.. Talking to locals while waiting for a boat to Isla Ometepe in Nicaragua, dancing samba with brazilians in a little local club in Salvador - Brazil, watching couples dancing tango summer and autumn at Plaza Dorrego - Buenos Aires, waking up in a tent on a rainy morning in Chile, going by boat up the amazon river for a week and much more.. But also trying to be aware of all the small amazing things that happen in my daily life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Being in the continous process of learning about other people, different cultures and cultural differences/similarities, ways of living etc.
