ABOUT ME

I'm a person of simple pleasures - just give me some chocolate and let me pet a dog and I'll be happy.

I like food quite a bit and I'm trying to work my way through different international cuisines. Also I am a huge fruit lover and I am (practically) counting the days until I can get my hands on those beautiful tropical fruits that I've never tasted.

A while ago I picked up sketching and watercolouring (if that's a word). My most frequented subjects are plants and flowers and animals.

My most beloved animals are rhinos of whom I have quite a few decorations including a tattoo and a stuffed animal. And my favourite socks have little dogs on them and a red ruffled finish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I once met a guy visiting Leipzig. He didn't like it there which at first I couldn't understand. Soon we figured out that the reason for that was him only visiting the crowded, touristy inner city without branching out. He changed his mind fairly quickly as me and friends of mine took him around town to the places we loved.

I am hoping for something like that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love children's books and fairytales. Recently I decided to start collecting fairytale books from different countries. (So far I own like 3 or 4... :D) But I'm also interested in different other genres - especially crime solving stories. Depends on my mood really.

I'm not that much into movies, as I am not the best at concentrating for a long time, but there sure are some films I enjoy watching. One of my favourite tv shows is Parks and Recreation, mostly because of Ron Swanson, my not so secret man crush.

I got to touch a rhino as well as a human corpse.
