Overview
About Me
I find it difficult to describe myself, and be somewhat objective about it. I actually think it’s almost impossible to be objective about this, and since I tend to be quite critical of myself, the image I have of myself is usually very different from the one others have…
That being said, I think I’m a sensitive and kind person. At the very least, I like to think of myself as such. I have an inquisitive mind and I love to discover/learn new things and talk to people in order to get to know them.
I also consider myself an open-minded person and I care a lot about causes and values like climate change, eco-friendliness, feminism, human rights, sex equality, body positivism and body acceptance, consent, tolerance and benevolence, etc.
I try to enjoy life as much as possible and to embrace new experiences with as much positivism as I can. I like to smile and I’ve been told I do so a lot. :) (see? haha)
In my free time, I like to read, play/listen to music, watch series/films, spend time with my friends. And I love photography and taking pictures, especially when travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the concept, really! I think that traveling isn’t only about going to touristy places, it's also about going off the beaten tracks sometimes. And for that, meeting some locals, learning about the culture, sharing experiences, etc. is definitely a good start!
I’ve only surfed a few times and all were very good experiences that I'm looking forward to reiterate. :)
And since I have now my own place, I've been able to start hosting. That’s allowed me to meet some amazing people. Having guests from abroad sometimes feels a little bit like travelling without leaving the comfort of your home, and I love that feeling!
And I noticed that from being a host, you can sort of learn how to be a better guest and vice and versa, which is really cool :)
Interests
I’m interested in a lot of things such as art & culture, music, cinema, history, traveling (of course), and so on…
I love meeting new people, discovering new cultures and learning new things. Also, I like music a lot and am always looking for something new to listen to.

Music, Movies, and Books
Honestly, I'm bad at making that kind of lists. There are way too many songs/films/books I like(d) and I can't just choose one that is my favourite. And most of the time it depends on my mood or on how recently I listened to/saw/read them…
But if you really want lists, here goes:
MUSIC—Ok, that’s not very original, but to tell the truth, my tastes are very eclectic… amongst my favourite tracks you would definitely find: The Boxer by Simon & Garfunkel | Don’t leave me now by Supertramp | Jimmy by Moriarty | KANÉ by FAUVE | The Red Circle by New Tango Orquesta | Perfect Day by Lou Reed | After the Storm by Mumford & Sons | Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits | Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley | Whatever by Oasis
FILMS—Searching For Sugar Man, The Boat That Rocked, This Is England, Inside Llewyn Davis, Brokeback Mountain, Django Unchained, The Intouchables, Trainspotting, The Help, 12 Years a Slave
BOOKS—Pride & Prejudice, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Le Petit Prince, Harry Potter, Blankets (graphic novel), Taille 42, The Giver, Night, Polina (graphic novel), Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo
What's on those lists come in no particular order, I just wrote the first ten songs/films/books I could think of…
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my best memories is from some holidays in the south of France when I was a teenager.
In the middle of our last night there, some friends and I decided to walk from our holiday house to the famous «Pont du Gard». 5 km later, we got there. It was all dark and we were (obviously) the only ones there.
The best part is that, the lights usually illuminating it at night were all off, but you could still make out its shape like a darker shadow in the sky.
It was such a different and unique way to see/visit it and it was beautiful. I have no photos of it – it would have been too dark to take one anyway – but in a way it’s better that way. The image I still have in my mind and the feeling that goes with it are worth so much more than a simple photo.

Went to an anti-nuclear demonstration not so long ago, that was pretty rad too! :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you about Switzerland, French, French cooking, etc. as this related to where I come from.
I’d be able to tell you about graphic design, photography and a bunch of other artsy things, since it’s (part of) what I do for a living,
If you’re visiting me, I could also try to teach you how to play the accordion (at least the basics), since I’ve been playing it for a while.
I like to learn about other cultures and/or languages so I’m all ears if you want to share some yours with me. Also I love to get to know new people and listen to their stories, get to know who they are, what they like, etc. So I’m alway happy to hear about that. :)
I can share with you comfy bed-sofa to sleep on, food (if you’re there when I cook), some advice on the city of Winterthur (or also other parts of Switzerland, especially the French part), some of my time (if I don’t have plans when you’re there). I also have a small collection of board games and love to play them, so if that’s something you’re into, we can definitely have a game night or something!
If I can’t host you, I’m always happy to share some recommendations of cool place to see/things to do in Winterthur, just ask!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share pieces of myself, my personality, my culture, my language, my optimism, etc.
Give you tips about Switzerland, if you ever plan to come here.
I’m always happy cook something for you as a thank you for the accommodation and the time you're willing to share with me :)
If you’re available, I’d love to share some of my time and do something together.
