Discovering the world as much as I can :-)
Pretty hyper. Pretty cheerful. Pretty talkative. Pretty much hungry all the time.
I love working, I adore travelling, I'm passionate about food.
What I do in life: work, work, work. Then I go travelling. Best thing about it is experiencing new cultures, trying out new foods and meeting new people!
Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else, you are the one who gets burned. (Buddha)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a very busy person so I don't have much time, but if you're in Brussels and would like a guide... you can always message me, and if I have spare time on my hands I'll gladly be your guide :-)
Couchsurfing in Japan, really an amazing experience to meet all those kind people!
I'm very interested in learning new languages, making new friends and travelling.
It seems I adore animals (especially cats!) because whenever I go travelling I end up befriending the whole animal population of the country :-p
What really grabs my attention though is trying out new foods and be immersed in a new culture and learning things about the world!
Except for that I love reading, listening to music, going for walks, eating, swimming, ...
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Hable con ella, A moment to remember, Donnie Darko, The pianist, El Laberinto del fauno, La méglio gioventu, K-pax, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Once upon a time in high school, V for Vendetta, Slumdog Millionaire, The king and the clown, Das Experiment, One flew over a cuckoo's nest, Watchmen, American History X, A beautiful mind, ... and many many cartoons!
Music: about pretty much anything (though not really a fan of today's "hip" music, I'm more into oldies, house, reggea, instrumental, ...)
Books: I have a deep liking for Amélie Nothomb and E.E. Schmitt books! Aside from that I enjoy going into second hand stores and pick up random books just to be amazed by their content (or sometimes be dissapointed).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going to the hot sources of Pamukale in Turkey and ending up slipping in them. I was drenched and it was winter. But it was an amazing experience!
Walking through an old Nubian village in Egypt and watching the sun set on the desert :-)
Being in Istanbul and seeing all the fishermen fish and prepare tasty fresh fish for you!
Walking up some hills in Kyoto and bumping into a landscape of valleys filled with a graveyard... this picture will never leave my mind!
The mountains in Peru!
