About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to bring happiness to people
ABOUT ME
I love walking, singing, dancing and laughing... have two grown up children... (one lives 3 miles away and one in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). I speak French and German and a little Spanish, and am a language collector, always learning something. My work is varied - I work from home and in local companies doing massage, and teach massage further afield. I also teach circle dance, and run a Laughter Club. My partner and best friend is Peter Logan.
We love having people to stay, and are happy to show you around when we have time (usually involves a country walk and a pub!). But we are equally happy to host if we are busy, and you can entertain yourselves. We have 2-3 lodgers living with us at any one time -and a small dog.
We live in a village with not much happening - so if you want the bright lights of the city, our place is not for you. Public transport isn't great, so if you want to get around, a car is useful- but we can usually meet you from Bracknell(from London) or Wokingham (from Gatwick). It is possible to take the train to London from here, it takes an hour, and can be expensive depending on the time of day. There is also a bus - which takes longer.
I have lived in France, Germany, US, and love to travel. Looking forward to meeting you!
PHILOSOPHY
I am an optimistic, positive person who likes new experiences, meeting new people. We like to make it easier - and more interesting- for people to travel. My personal mission is to bring happiness to people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was a member of Servas, a similar organisation, as a host and a traveller, and then join this community - much easier as it is web based. We have hosted several people now, have made new friends, and have surfed a couple of times - we need to surf more!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
It's fantastic! Meeting different cultures without the hassle of travel!!! We have met all kinds of people, and every experience enriches our lives

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela - almost 1000km in 5 1/2 weeks in 2008. Would love to do it again. Also have walked down - and up the Grand Canyon 3 times. What an amazing sight
